Editor’s Note » Nov./Dec. ‘12

by Arwen Rasmussen, Editor/Publisher

If you are like me, the holiday season is right around the corner and not only do I not have any gift ideas for myself, but I have no idea what to get my husband, mother, and the 15 other people in my life. I can’t be the only one caught in this “what to do this year” brain buster, right? But no worries because we’ve got you covered. So turn now to our Keep It Local Holiday Gift Guide. Do not pass go, do not collect anything, just turn to page 20. Seriously, I mean it.

We have dedicated our holiday gift guide to the starving, striving, yearning and totally sweet artists in the Chippewa Valley. If you have never walked thru the art in the park or the Open Air Festival of the Arts because of busy schedules or crazy weekends, we are bringing some of it to you now.

You’ll find gourds, handmade soaps, ducks, bird houses, and so much more!

One of the best gifts you can give is something local, and we have a lot of creatives in the Valley that have wonderful, local, natural, and organic products.

We have also reviewed some awesome, and (mostly) recycled gifts that we found online. These stores are also dedicated to unique, interesting, and sometimes re- or upcycled gifts. Don’t forget to check out their sites for more great finds. Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping!
